In Search of My Muse

Where is my muse to light my fire?
Creating love in this pure desire.
My heart is barely breathing now,
The distant remembrance of his wow.

Long ago I felt his heartbeat in mine,
The soul of the Gods, my one true divine.
Will I meet him this lifetime or never?
Is he carefully cloaking himself forever?

Does he run and flee from the passion within?
The cinders that smolder the likes of all men.
Or will my white knight come and capture my heart?
Come extinguish this longing that tears me apart.
