Thoughts of You

I thought of you today and a tear rolled down my cheek,
My heart skipped a beat and my mouth couldn't speak.

I thought of you today, of the memories we have shared,
My stomach got butterflies and I smiled that you cared.

I thought of you today wishing my words could be enough,
My head wanted to explode from hard times that are rough.

I thought of you today and sent a silent prayer your way,
Wishing our paths would cross once again on one sweet day.
