Forget the Dreams in Her Heart

In all of life's destiny in all of life's release;
Another dark moment with the chatter that won't cease.

Reflections in the mirror the teardrops in her sad eyes,
Too tired to fight anymore or listen to blatent lies.

The shunning in public, and then in sheltered places,
The ego cannot bear the pain of the man with 2-faces.

It is a long battle it seems a 12 - step program for sure,
To forget the dreams in her heart, now that he is with her.

And as the light in her heart dims more and more each night,
Envisioning at the end of this story God will make it allright.
